In 1986, after my retirement I was helping few charity home but I feel like the children could have deserved better. Then I plan to start a charity home at Taman Melodies with the seven children and rent a small bungalow house. Ex-welfare officer, Tuan Haji Mohd Farid guided me with the necessary documentations. In 1995, I bought a 4 ¾ acre land to be developed into sports center and housing. However, after I met with Mother Theresa at Culcutta the same year, I am inspired to donate the land to build a new home in Saleng (current home) for these special children.

Miss Lee Suin Tei
02
Miss Lee Suin Tein came to our Home with cerebral palsy when she was eight years old. One year later she went to the Johor spastic school for nine years. During this time she already had found her passion for doing sport in order to compensate her disability.
The achievements of Miss Lee Suin Tein are quite remarkable as a paralympic athlete. Miss Lee Suin Tein is one of the children residing in the Home and is a decorated champion in her sport of Boccia. Boccia is wheelchair-bound Paralympic sport that was originally designed for cerebral palsy patients; it involves throwing a leather ball as close as possible to a target. Lee Suin Tein has become quite a shining star and symbol of pride representing our Home, and her laughter and joy is equally impressive to those that meet her.
